After finishing my schooling, I thought it was a good idea to start DJing because this is the only profession where you get paid to have loads of fun.

Firstly, I was given the opportunities to work in a nightclub after I finished, providing me with a stepping stone to more permanent opportunities in the industry. Finally, when I eventually returned to my hometown I actually found myself at a new level – a few professional steps above the majority of my colleagues, which of course, has translated, into the best opportunities.

My main goal is to move to Australia for higher studies and to make a better career as a DJ. It would also help me to earn my living and fees for the university, also it would help me to make a lot of international friends.

Getting to know some of the personalities behind Spin Gurus such as DJ Jitesh, he has been in this industry for more than a decade and any conversation with him, provided a great opportunity to learn from his experiences. That definitely, is an advantage.

Being around people interested and involved in the industry.

I started going out clubbing and really wanted to be on the other side of things. I have always wanted to work in music and I am lucky that I can turn my hobby into my career. I hate routine and 9-5 never suits me, this way I will get to DJ all over the world and no two days are the same.

My time at Spin Gurus has been invaluable. The attractive environment, friendly staff and the excellent course have been very encouraging.

My parents are very supportive, although their initial reactions was to “get a proper job” Now they can see the success I’m having, they understand that pursuing a career in music really can pay off.
